MATERIAL HANDLING AUTOMATION - R+W MATAL BELOWS COUPLINGS IN GRIPPER SYSTEMS

The widest variety of robotic handling tasks always requires individual drive solutions as well as gripper systems in order to transport the goods precisely to the particularly programmed transfer point. Material handling machines are designed primarily for speed and acceleration.

High-speed articulated robots are attractive due to their compact design and high degree of mobility. Through programming and the control of up to 6 axles, speeds of over 7.2 m/s and a repeat accuracy of up to +/- 0.02 mm, these robots have found their calling in a wide variety of sectors.

Only backlash-free, torsion-resistant metal bellows couplings are used for the precise transfer of the angle and torque of the highly dynamic axles. The metal bellows help to compensate for assembly shaft misalignments when restoring forces are low.
