MEDICAL ROBOTICS - PERFECTION THAT SAVES LIVES

Medical patient care is facing a constant upheaval due to the wide variety of symptoms and options for therapy. This naturally presents continually new challenges, particularly for medical-technical equipment and medical robots.

With a multichannel compounder, up to 20 syringes or intravenous drips can be loaded simultaneously. Formulations are entered into a computer control system using a touchscreen. The control system controls the pump systems, which automatically generate the composition of the required substances in accordance with the specified patient-specific formulation.

Depending on the requirement with regard to continuous or discrete dosing, only precision motors are used. 
The drive motor provides for a uniform axial path of the syringe plunger in order to draw the compound into the hollow body, e.g. the hollow needle, cannula or syringe.

Thanks to the use of a backlash-free, torsion-resistant metal bellows coupling by R+W, the results of compounding in the automated filling process can be achieved fully and are assured.
