AVIATION - EXTREME TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE

A commercial aircraft experiences temperature variations between 30°C at startup and up to -60°C at cruising altitude. This poses special requirements in the use of materials, connections and components for the aircraft. R+W offers solutions for these extreme temperature ranges in the form of welded, torsion-resistant metal bellows couplings. The demands for quality placed on the drivetrain component, which compensates for shaft misalignments between the control motor and the control system, extend from certification of the welding process, to product traceability, to an acceptance test certificate.
